Windom Neighborhood
The Windom neighborhood is located in the Southwest community of Minneapolis. Its borders are Diamond Lake Road and West 54th Street to the north, Interstate 35W to the east, West 62nd Street (Highway 62) to the south, and Lyndale Avenue South and Highway 121 to the west.
Windom Community Council (WCC) History and Geography of Service
For over 30 years, the Windom Community Council (WCC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has served the diverse Windom neighborhood located in southwest Minneapolis, safeguarding a high quality of life for our residents and the prosperity to our local businesses.
Through our programs, we provide Windom residents all ages, cultures, races and income levels with the information, tools, and resources to engage civically and help lead in building a stronger and sustainable Windom.
We support the sound community and economic development of the neighborhood, ensuring that Windom remains a great neighborhood to live in, work in and visit.
Windom is a southwest Minneapolis neighborhood. Abutting I-35W and Highway 62, Windom residents enjoy a location that is near many of the metro area’s best features: Minnehaha Creek and the Chain of Lakes, direct access for work or play to major arterials and the International Airport, great local businesses and short drives to major cultural attractions and malls.
