City of Stacy
Stacy is a city in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, along the Sunrise River. The population was 1,456 at the 2010 census.
Interstate 35 serves as a main route for the community.
History
A post office called Stacy has been in operation since 1873. Stacy was laid out in 1875, and named for Dr. Stacy B. Collins, an early settler.
The City of Stacy in Chisago County offers small-town living as well as bustling commerce and a rich history. The population for Stacy (per the 2020 census) is 1,703. The city derives its name from Dr. Stacy B. Collin, one of the area’s earliest settlers who lived here in 1875. Established as a city 100 years later, Stacy continues growing.
A five-member city council meets at 7p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall. The city’s Planning Commission meets at 7p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month also at City Hall. City departments include administration, finance, public works, and liquor operations. The city also has an Economic Development Authority.

- Jessica Dereschuk – beauty queen, who has competed in the Miss USA pageant, also winner of the Miss Minnesota USA 2004 pageant. Hails from Stacy.
- Hunter Miska – ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Colorado Eagles.
