Shingle Creek Neighborhood

Shingle Creek is a neighborhood within the Camden community in Minneapolis; it is located in the far northwestern corner of the city. The neighborhood is named after the creek that runs through it. The boundaries of Shingle Creek are 53rd Avenue North to the north, Humboldt Avenue North to the east, 49th Avenue North to the south, and Xerxes Avenue North to the west.

Living in Shingle Creek offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Shingle Creek there are a lot of parks. Many families and young professionals live in Shingle Creek and residents tend to be liberal.

Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association is a group of volunteer residents who has fun working on promoting this neighborhood and community as a great place to live, work, and shop! SCNA is organized to be a voice of the community, to advocate and promote the Shingle Creek neighborhood, to improve neighborhood livability and economic opportunities, to involve and empower residents and to promote the safety and health of our community and its residents.
