City of Brooklyn Park
Brooklyn Park is listed as a “Tree City USA” and is home to 47 miles (76 km) of trails and 67 parks, including Rush Creek Regional Trail and the northern section of Palmer Lake Park. The city is also known for the West Coon Rapids Dam, on the west side of the Mississippi River.
The Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks team is committed to ensuring that our resilient community members have resources to maintain healthy lives, create meaningful relationships and have exciting experiences. In these challenging times, our team is working to provide you with resources for you and your family with the hope of making it easier for you to stay engaged and prioritize your health and well-being.
The Recreation and Parks Department is excited to celebrate Brooklyn Park through a series of community events throughout the year. Events will continue to acknowledge the City’s past as a potato-growing center with our annual Tater Daze celebration, keeping old traditions alive while creating opportunities to celebrate Brooklyn Park’s now-rich cultural diversity!
